I would like to set up a consistent ping from one of my end devices that has a zabbix agent on it to another device on that network. Can this be done using the Zabbix agent?
There is a related thread here but I don't really understand it, I think I need it broken down and explained further than they have done. From looking at the documentation, I need to create the script somewhere, but I'm not sure where, then refer back to it with parameters etc. I can see the Macros section under this host and I understand the syntax required but a) where does the script go? and b) could you explain how the script written in the linked thread works?
