    Zabbix remote host configuration

Hi, I want to monitor remote hosts but I don´t know what to do. I configured a virtual adapter with Radmin VPN to get a Public IP on Windows Server 2012 R2 Server Core Hyper-V, and it doesn´t work with the virtual machine based on Ubuntu Server 22.04. I was watching a video that said Zabbix can monitor remote hosts, but I can only monitor local hosts. Radmin VPN can not be installed on Ubuntu Server so I´m stuck.

    Can you please help me?

Just go back to the basics first.
That is network security, firewall and all the bad actors on the internet.

If you have that part covered, consider a firewall rule to allow certain zabbix traffic. If it's just 1 host than from that host an outbound connection towards your zabbix server could be a good way to start. If you have multiple host in the same external environment a proxy is a good way to do it.
If any of this raises questions than please do not connect your stuf to the internet.

We have a lot of clients that have Radmin VPN on their servers on Windows. My question is how can I monitor them using Zabbix or installing Zabbix with a Public IP or VPN? if if add them on the interface as simple hosts I can´t monitor them because the Zabbix Server on Ubuntu is connected only on the local network, but not on a external one with a VPN.

Use agent in active mode. Agent must be able to connect toward the zabbix proxy or server IP (either by resolving FQDN or direct IP)
No need to specify which interface to use at the client. An network route toward the server/proxy must be allowed on port 10051

I´m gonna explain the situation, for example:

I have a Zabbix Server installed in a location A (the office), with local added agents, this case the server virtual machines and laptops.

I have a Zabbix Proxy installed in a location B (My home), with a local agent, in this case my PC.

So, how can I get the communication between my home Zabbix Proxy who needs to collect data and the office Zabbix Server who needs to receive data if they are in different locations and networks?

Location of zabbix server and zabbix proxy doesn't matter. So, you need to setup communication between server and proxy.
