    Auto Discovery SNMPv3 problems

    Hello Community,

i'am new to zabbix und like to implement some Switches from different Subnets into my Zabbixserver.

    First things first:
-the Server is on Version 7.0.6
-Snmpv3 is setup correct on the switches
-there is no firewall between the subnets
    -routing is correct and working

    To the "Problem"/"Question " i have.
If i manually add a Switch via the "Data Collection"/"Host" tap i can add the Switch with the SNMP Data i want to use.
This works every time and Data is collected.

But I'd like to use the "Discovery" function to automatically add all the switches i have.
So i created a discovery rule with only 1 IP range (one subnet) to test. The SNMPv3 settings are the same as on the standalone host settings.
Only difference is the "SNMP OID" setting that is required, and i am not sure what values are allowed for this.

Are there any dummy values just to try if the discovery even works?

I tryied the following oid as a value for the System name: "1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0" but it wont give me a result.

This is for Alcatel Lucent Switches...

    uuid: 05036ea09070428bb13f86396fbb45c8
    name: 'Device name'
    type: SNMP_AGENT
    snmp_oid: .1.3.6.1.2.1.1.5.0

Thanks a lot for your time.
    Cheers Kay

    Got a bit of progress,

first of all i forgot to add a discovery action for my discovery rule.
Without this the switches won't be added, grouped and templates wont be applied.

Secondly the discover rules seem to not to like man different subnets separated via comma in one rule.
So i created a rule for every subnet and got results for every rule.

Only thing still many switches are not even discovered, but are in the same subnet and have the same snmp conf. as ones that are.
    That is strange to me...
