I’m looking for advice on how others usually update Zabbix templates. My issue is that I’ve been using Zabbix since version 3, and while I’ve continuously upgraded the system, I’ve recently noticed that the templates do not get updated automatically when upgrading to a new major version.
I’ve had to manually update the templates, which is very time-consuming and labor-intensive. The process involves unlinking the old template, uploading the new version, and then linking it back to the hosts. Given that I have a lot of templates, I’ve only been updating the ones currently in use.
My question is: do you know of any efficient and faster way to update all templates (both active and inactive)?
