How to obtain itemid for numerous hosts?

I need to obtain the itemid shown in the link below, which is obtained by hovering over a "graph" link. Essentially we need get the CUP idle time, and memory stats, for many servers, and are planning on using the Zabbix API.

Can someone recommend an easy way to obtain the itemid for several monitored items, on numerous servers?
