Hello everyone,
I'll sketch the situation first:
We monitor multiple devices per site/customer (switches, routers, camera, etc.) in Zabbix 6.4.14 and we do so through SNMP, using mostly standard templates for discovery, items, triggers (like Cisco). We pretty much monitor whatever we can and the devices allow.
Question:
What I would like to see/do is two-fold: on the one hand I just want to keep monitoring everything I currently do, but I also want the Services/SLA part to reflect only the actual downtimes/problems of devices; A speed change on information level or a no SNMP data collection on warning level should not affect the SLI, but a link down on average level and a unavailable by ping on high level should affect it. How do I set it up so the SLI only gets affected by say Average and up triggers?
I've looked at a few videos and explanations already and either I'm getting old and don't get it or am I asking something that's not possible? Cause I'm at a bit of a loss.
In short, I want to set it up where the SLI only gets affected by a loss of connection while continuing to monitor everything else; I still want triggers on speed changes, links down, restarts, etc. etc., just not affecting SLA/SLI.
Please let me know if you need additional information and if you want to explain something and you think "I don't want to go too much in detail or dumb it down too much to not insult the guy"...please know that I appreciate any help I can get!
Thanks in advance!
