Hey,
we had an old zabbix server on physical hardware with a GSM module to notify, when the email services or the internet doesn't work. The module was connected by USB and configured with gammu.
Now, we have a new zabbix server installed on a virtual server cluster (VMware VCenter 6). But the GSM module doesn't work, cause the virtual zabbix server has no own USB ports.
Is it possible to forward an USB port from the physical host to the VM? Or anything else to connect the GSM module again? The problem is the VM isn't just on one Host and will be swapped between the Hosts automatically.
If not, is there any other option the notify people when the mail service or the internet isn't working?
Hope, you have any ideas to solve this issue?
Thanks for help and
sorry for bad english
