Meraki (meraki_http) does not discover any devices

I have had this template installed for a couple of days and have not seen any results. I know the API key works because I use it is several independent scripts and have also tested it is postman. However discovery does not appear to be working. I am running Zabbix 7.2.3 in a docker container. Everything else appears to be running without issue. Can't seem to find anything in the logs that indicate any activity at all. I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me with how to troubleshoot this further.

Im not sure what might be wrong. But other than applying a template to the host. Have you dane anything else. I'm pretty sure that you need to edit some macros - like password/login/key or simmilar for the template to work.

I'm also running on 7.2.3 in a docker stack.
      Everything works.

      + just a little "tip"..
For my setup I needed Host Group for the meraki devices. If you just use the meraki template, you can only add host group(s) to ALL meraki devices.

If you have a setup like me where you have mutliple sites and would like to combine them in specific host groups, you cant.

I solved that by using SNMP for every specific site.

well... as workaround, you can clone the template (per site/tenant/etc) and edit it and place disocvered things into different hostgroup... Maintenance headache, but if really needed, then possible...

I figured out what I was doing wrong and it was frankly a dense mistake. I had not attached the templates to a host. I have used Zabbix for a long time and should know better, but I just was not thinking and the template instructions take it for a granted that a user would know this. The instructions really should explain that you need to create a host and attach the templates to the host. For people that do not use Zabbix all the time, this step should not be left out assuming people would know this.

I understand, when people forget to do things in rush.. But people who do not know such basics, should not configure things... They should be kept within "user" permissions... I would not give admin rights to anyone, who does not know this kind of things...
