add a second NIC to my Zabbix server

    Hello,
I am ruinning my Zabbix appliance on my proxmox server.
On the proxmox side, I have add a second Linux bridge vmrb1 in a different network (same network as my Unifi stuffs I want to monitored).
I have attached this new bridge to my zabbix VM as net1.
When ssh to my zabbix server I see three input:

    - the loopback
    - eth0 / vmbr0 the management interface
    - eth1 the newly created NIC from the vmbr1 bridge from my proxmox.
    altname enp0s19
    altname ens19

I am supposing that eth1/enp0s19 is the NIC I am looking for ... But as I do not know how Almalinux is managing his network ...
    Thx for your support.

Your question doesn't have anything to do with Zabbix, it's about adding a new NIC to a Linux host.

You also don't say what version of the VM learning environment you're using.

You probably want to use 'ip link show' and 'ip addr show' to get an idea about the connectivity of the two NICs and whether the new one is currently getting an IP address.

Since it's some version of Alma Linux, it's a RedHat re-spin and therefore probably defaults to NetworkManager for managing the interfaces. With that in mind, you want to use one of the many possible network-manager tools to configure the new NIC to your liking. nmcli, nmtui (text user interface), or some distro-specific GUI are probably all options. Any documentation you find online about managing network interfaces with NetworkManager will probably apply to your situation.
