We have just started monitoring our VM's with the out of the box Zabbix Templates on 3.2.4 and everything was working fine and then all the hosts stopped with a message saying that the username and password are incorrect.
We have confirmed that the username (in Active Directory) and password are correct and the account isn't locked. We can get out to the web with the same account authenticating through the proxy from the Zabbix server so we are certain there is nothing wrong with the account.
Is there something else it could be?
In the logs we are getting the messages like:
11017:20170412:182919.675 item "server01:vmware.hv.version[{$URL},{HOST.HOST}]" became not supported: Cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password.
11016:20170412:182920.675 item "server01:vmware.hv.vm.num[{$URL},{HOST.HOST}]" became not supported: Cannot complete login due to an incorrect user name or password.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated
