    trigger works earlier

    hello,
    i have a trigger min(/Template-Windows_base/system.cpu.util[all,system,avg1],30m)>=90 but it starts after 25minutes, but I don't know why.
    It is similar to what is described in the documentation:

    4:30:50 First volue of series in range
    4:55:51 Problem created

    That's only 25 minutes after first value.

    Thank you for your help

    Code:
    min(/Template-Windows_base/system.cpu.util[all,system,avg1],30m)>=90
    Minimum value during the 30m calculation period is equal or higher than 90.... Think now ... minimum value during 30 minutes... will it activate, when your first >=90 value arrives or when all values during 30m are >=90 ??

      all values during 30m are >=90

      it works but in this one case has been activated after 25 minutes. Normally it works:

      4:37 first high value
      5:07 trigger activated

        Yea.. Must not comment after day full of meetings... Cannot make any difference between 25 and 30 minutes

        I have one wild guess, which may be absolute BS .. But for that, I would need to dig into code and I cannot make myself to do that... It involves the assumption, that if we consider precision of 1 second, then 2 values might be 30 minutes away from each other, but if we consider also nanoseconds in values, then it is actually just a liiiiiiiitle bit more than 30 sec and then it might be not considered any more... But as I said, it is a wild guess and may be total BS..:P

          What's the item definition and collection intervals? It seems you're collecting in 5m intervals (from the timestamps in your screenshots). The trigger seems to be looking at the 1m avg. Not sure how it is calculating that but I wonder if that is a factor.

              I have a feeling you have to change your collection interval to 1 minute instead of 5.
