monitoring syslog

Hello,
Some devices propose to log information with syslog.

Is it possible to monitor the content of a syslog server with Zabbix ?

We run a KIWI syslog server.
Forward all syslogs to the Zabbix server as SNMP-traps (automatif feature in kiwi)
Receive all snmptraps on the zabbix-server and place them in the zabbix database with zabbix-zender (made a smart snmtrap.sh script).
