    Monitor Network IO via SNMP

    Good Morning,

We are setting up Zabbix for the first time and things seem to be running fine. I have all our switch stacks in via SNMP and starting to collect data.

We have a few hundred cameras throughout the company and would like the quickly see the incoming and outgoing data rates for all these cameras.

Is there a way to set this up? We do not know the exact closet and port in the stack each camera plugs in to without logging in to the stack and figuring out what mac address is associated with each port.

We know the VLAN at each location these cameras are assigned to, we know all the MAC Addresses (as they are reserved on the vlan by camera and we have a couple brands so each brands MAC adress is close in range)

Is there a way to set something up to show all cameras with their incoming and outgoing data rate, show what switch and port, etc. in one place? I would like to see it all without searching latest data from each port on each switch stack.

    Thank You

you can try SNMPTrapper and make camera send all data to zabbix... I'm trying it with oracle ZFS and it seems ZFS can send SNMP over network and zabbix can act as trapper and using SNMPTT it can translate those values for you.
