Is it possible to add an item action in the item menu

for example, can I add a frontend script that uses information from an item that select?

The use case is if an item represents an installed package, could I select that item and use that context to pass to a script to run a command on the zabbix server or agent to obtain the package version? I'm trying to understand if context can be obtained from a selected item.

I don't think you can add anything to item menu, as you can add to event or host menu...
