Long time zabbix user, but just made the jump from 5.4 to 7.0. I am having trouble with creating custom widgets on the dashboard with items that update infrequently and also items that are set to "discard with heartbeat" when they don't change. If my dashboard is set to last hour and the items haven't updated in that hour, they show no data. For items like this, the "item value" widget works only when I set the aggregation function to "not used" and history data to "auto". But, not all/most widget types do not provide this option and all three of the history options (auto/history/trends) show no data.
