    IPMI fluctuating

    Hello.
I use zabbix 3.2.6 on Ubuntu 14.04 (openipmi with ssl).
    IPMI pollers=10, unreachable= 10
I try to check via IPMI a server DL360 G7 (ilo3), and only this server is monitored via IPMI (only 3 items for test purposes, no other): its work but with a problem.
Zabbix retrieve the value from the sensor but after a while an error appear in the log:
"became not supported: sensor data is not available", after a while the sensor became supported and a new value is retrieved... And so on.
Indeed, the time it remains unsupported is about 10 minutes, but it can even reach 40 or more. Two consecutive values are difficult to collect without becoming unsupported.

The interval is 120 seconds, the controlled sensors are:
    Sys. Health LED
    Power Supply 1
    Fan 1

I've read many posts that talk about similar issues: increase the number of pollers, or others I do not remember now. What I tried did not work anyway.

It's all in LAN, if I use ipmitool always works great, the ILO user has an administrator role. Does anything escape me?

You can try a workaround - set StartIPMIPollers=1.

Problem is that each IPMI poller process independently scans and polls IPMI device controllers. The controllers often do not like multiple parallel sessions. With StartIPMIPollers=1 the problem may go away (if you have not many IPMI items).

The problem should be completely solved in Zabbix 3.4 (not yet released).

        Ok

        Tnx Andris.
Now the problem is partially solved: with StartIPMIPollers=1 one of three items works correctly, the other two remains unsupported.
        I will try with =2 and =3.
