Zabbix http monitoring session keep open

    hi,
i have a customer that i am monitoring his: HPE MSA 2060 Storage by HTTP.
he says that zabbix keep the session open for 30 minutes.
is there a way to make zabbix to close session after X minutes or to close session when it's finish getting data from host?

    thank you.

I think so yes. If you look at the template and the master item of it, it uses a javascript script to make the HTTP calls. If you know the logout URI (api/logout? since login seems to use api/login), you could add the logout call in the master item script.

If you find the solution, I'd recommend opening a feature request at https://support.zabbix.com and describing the required changes to the template so that other MSA users could benefit from the improvement as well, if this is a valid issue.

hi, i tried but no success.
when i added the logout only ping worked, all the other items did not respond.

Hard to guess what you did, so if you can show the changes you made (and what is the original template in git.zabbix.com), maybe someone is able to help.
