Failed to connect to database: Error: Too many connections

Hi,

My zabbix started dying 2 days ago

what i can see in server.log is:

003072:20070112:085552 Failed to connect to database: Error: Too many connections
003069:20070112:085552 One server process died. Shutting down...
003069:20070112:085552 ZABBIX server is down.


Is it mysql or zabbix issue? How can i solve this problem?

This is MySQL issue. In your my.cnf:

max_connections = 256

That's solved a slightly different problem for me as well.
