IMHO that's not a task for monitoring system. It's a task for your configuration system (Puppet, Chef, Ansible,...). Also you should to be prepared for situation, when upgrade is not successful (backups).Devops Monitoring Expert advice: Dockerize/automate/monitor all the things.
