    Virtual machine monitoring

    Hey all,
We are trying to use this mechanism to monitor our esxi5.5 servers (Zabbix 3.2.6 on CentOS7).
    In the documentation it says:
For virtual machine monitoring to work, Zabbix should be compiled with the --with-libxml2 and --with-libcurl compilation options.

We installed from repo's - is there a way to make sure it will work if the installation is from repo and not from source?
    Thanks!

If you installed from yum repository of Zabbix LLC, monitoring of VMware is possible.

Please check the log of the Zabbix server at startup.
    Code:
     17435:20170608:110851.307 VMware monitoring: YES
Also, if you want to monitor VMware,
please set the value of StartVMwareCollectors in zabbix_server.conf and start it.

Thanks! one more question regarding that template

The discovery works great but we noticed that there are no triggers created, only items - any idea if we missed something?

Check the setting contents of the template.

I think that the trigger was not set in the template prepared by default.
Please refine the template according to the person you want to monitor what you want, or create a new one.
