Zabbix Applicance upgrade from AlmaLinux 8 to AlmaLinux 9

    Hi,
I have deployed a Zabbix Server appliance with AlmaLinux 8 with 7.0 a year ago. Currently, I have upgraded to Zabbix Server 7.4.0, and I have also noted that the latest release no longer provides for Linux 8. Is there any procedure or documentation that could be shared for how to upgrade the current appliance from AlmaLinux 8 to AlmaLinux 9?

Download and install the pre-compiled Zabbix appliance.

The latest version of Appliance is based on Alma Linux 8 with MySQL back-end. Zabbix software is pre-installed and pre-configured for trouble free deployment. You can use this Appliance to evaluate Zabbix. The Appliance is not intended for serious production use
Basically... you should not be upgrading it anyway... Use it as it is and when they switch to newer version, just replace it... Maybe it is time to install a normal setup already..

Thanks for sharing. If we are going to deploy the new version as an appliance, is it possible to migrate existing data/DB to the new one? TBH, the appliance is a bit better for me, as it is quick and easy to deploy.

You have all the access to the DB, you can export all of it and import on another... Just make sure the versions match..
