    Cisco SN on different MIBs

    I'm using the default Cisco IOS by SNP template to all my Cisco Switches.

    On both, on Data Collectio -> host -> Items I have:
    Cisco IOS by SNMP: Cisco IOS: SNMP walk entity serial numbers
    Entity Serial Numbers Discovery: Cisco IOS: SNMP walk entity serial numbers: SWITCH_NAME-XX: Hardware serial number
    Cisco IOS by SNMP: Hardware serial number

    I can confirm that the SNMP walk is OK on 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11 and find the correct SN on both MIB's
    With snmpget command I can confirm that:
    2950/9200 Serial Number MIB is: 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11.1
    2960/3560 Serial Number MIB is: 1.3.6.1.2.1.47.1.1.1.1.11.1001

    On Monitoring -> Latest data the 2950/9200 have:
    system.hw.serialnumber -> Last value: FOCXXXXXXXXXX
    system.hw.serialnumber[entPhysicalSerialNum.1] -> Last value: FOCXXXXXXXXXX

    On Monitoring -> Latest data the 2960/3560 have:
    system.hw.serialnumber -> Last value: EMPTY
    system.hw.serialnumber[entPhysicalSerialNum.1001] -> Last value: FOCXXXXXXXXXX

    So, my question is:
    On Inventory -> Hosts, the "Serial number A" on models like 2950 or 9200 are OK but on models like 2960 or 3560 are empty. Why?

    Thank you for any help. image widget
