    Zabbix spamming OK emails

    Hello,

I recently upgraded from Zabbix 1.8 to 2.4.7. The upgrade seemed to go smoothly, and everything seems to be working fine except one thing: Zabbix spams me with emails!

I get more than 30 emails per hour from Zabbix, all "OK" emails, and all about different triggers. I have scoured the settings and I can't figure out how to make them stop. I know I can turn off emails completely, but I still want to be notified about actual outages.

The hosts mentioned in the emails all seem to be ones that I've added since the upgrade. Hosts that were added before the upgrade don't generate these emails. I've compared every piece of information in the UI between a working and a non-working host, but I can't find any difference between them.

This is what my inbox looks like: http://i.imgur.com/aOqltIY.png
Here's the body of the emails: http://i.imgur.com/UU9Vq92.png
Here's the configuration of that particular trigger: http://i.imgur.com/4StQDmz.png
Here's the configuration my email action: http://i.imgur.com/rUR36TI.png

Can anyone help point me to what I should be looking into? I don't want to get emails when everything is OK, I only want to get emails when there's a problem. I can post more screenshots from the configuration if it helps.

    Thank you!

    hi,
i had this issue also i think its a bug - you see when u add a new host
the first nodata that zabbix gets from the host-
when it changed to OK you get the recovery message

i had it on zabbix server 3.0.2 i have upgraded to 3.2.6 and i dont have it anymore

my suggestion is - if you dont want to upgrade is to put the new hosts you add
to a new host group like "new hosts" and dont make any action to this group of hosts
and then after 2-3 hours add it to the correct host group
to give this host time to process all data so you wont get any OK messages

      Thanks for the advice!

I ended up upgrading to 3.2 and the problem seems to be fixed. The only reason I was on 2.4 is since that's what came with Ubuntu 16.04, but I guess 2.4 is buggy so I'll avoid it.
