Zabbix server in 7th version, custom template and zabbix_agent in 3.4 on old Debian9

Hello,

I have zabbix server in 7.0.4 version if I remember well, under it there are X servers monitored, and I've created custom template to have some addidtional metrics monitored. Zabbix agents I've installed via ansible, using - in most cases - pre-downloaded binaries. All above works perfectly, but..

On most servers I have debian 11, debian 12 and zabbix_agent in 6th version. When I assign newly created template to server, ZBX icon turns gray. To have it green again, I need to upgrae agent to newer version - ZBX turns green then, and new tempalte works perfectly. I have however problem on some olded Debians (D9 on my mind now); it has agent in version 3.4 (no newer for Debian9), so no option to upgrade and I started to wonder: what may be the reason template does not work with some, particularly older, agent versin? Are there any know issues I should have on my ming creating template, to have it working with older agents?

investigation shows that one of items: works perfectly when agent version is 6th or higher, but does not work on agent 3.4 on old debian7; item itself looks as below:

logrt[/var/log/zabbix/events_zabbix.log,custom_alert,,,]

as mentioned, on hosts with agent version 6+ works fine, while on 3.4:
- when above item is enabled, host has 'zbx' icon grayed out
- when above item is disabled, 'zbx' icon turns green again
- manuals for both version, 3.4 and 6 shows that logrt function, up to 6th or 7th parameter used is same (for v6 there are 2 more possible to be used) but apart from that seems to be exactly same - so what michgt be an issue with logrt that it works for newer, but doesn't for older agents?
