Zabbix 6.0 LTS to Zabbix 8.0 LTS

Hey all,

I'm currently running Zabbix 6.0 LTS and am looking forward to the release of Zabbix 8.0 LTS in Q1 of 2026.

Should I prepare by upgrading to 7.0 LTS or 7.4 first in the mean time? Or might a 6.0 direct to 8.0 upgrade be supported?

You can do in-place upgrade, if your platform satisfies all requirements for v8. https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...n/requirements
If you decide to with new platform, side by side, you still can go directly, without installing intermediates. But you still need to read all the upgrade notes for all versions and verify, that you do all the steps required...
