    Override Item History stopping Housekeeping

    Hi everyone,

    I'm running Zabbix 7.0.19, Postgres and can't seem to enable the "Override item history period" housekeeping setting to limit history item size. I've noticed that when enabled Housekeeper utilization never rises above 0%, and as a result, the database continues to grow indefinitely. When I turn it off the housekeeper will kick in within the hour but old data (that should've been purged as over the 30d limit on history item period) is still present.

    Is there something I might be missing in the configuration, or could this be a bug? Housekeeper is set to run hourly without a limit in maximum purge.

    These are my current settings:

    I did update TimescaleDB to the latest version (not supported) but the issue has been happening for months so not sure that it would make a difference.

    Any insights or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks,

    Hey, hey
    As I heard, it's confirmed bug
    What you face in log file ?
    tail -f /var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log | grep -i housekeeper

    Can suggest you to use item level history settings
    UPDATE items SET history = '30d' WHERE history = '0';
    Dont forget to configure history period for new items and set in template items appropriate history periods.

      Thanks for this - Is there a bug reported for this in particular at all?
