Email to a specific user upon a specific trigger

    Hello,

I'm currently trying to implement a trigger that sends an email when a certain action occurs. Unfortunately, this only works for host groups and groups/users, but not when I select only a trigger as a condition.

Here I have created an example to receive an email no matter what happens on the test server. The problem is generated, but I don't see that the trigger action has been executed:

    Hi,

Do you actually see the event appear in Monitoring -> Problems when one of those triggers fires?
If you do so - does anything show up in Monitoring -> Problems -> Actions for that event?

        Hi,

In that case, could you provide me screenshot of your action condition? It seems it might be a bit imprecise.

Sure. I've limited it to one trigger; changing packages is also relatively easy to trigger.

Thanks for the screenshot. The setup looks fine, but the condition "Trigger equals..." can be too strict.
Zabbix requires the full trigger name to match exactly, so even a small difference can prevent the action firing.
Try changing it to " Trigger contains Number of installed packages has been changed" and to make it specific to one host, you can add second condition "Host equals test-linux-001.itd-testing".

I selected the trigger from the dropdown list, so shouldn't it match 100%? I can't manually enter anything there either, I can only select from the list.Click image for larger version Name:	image.png Views:	0 Size:	37.8 KB ID:	508676
