I have setup a nightly maintenance period and it's either not working or being ignored, or I am missing something. I read in another post that both the Zabbix UI, and the server need to be setup using the same time zone. That is done as are the proxy and the servers who the maintance period is configured to apply too (basically all servers are set to the same time zone). I also have seutp integration with PagerDuty to alert whenever any issue arises.
The issue is that whenever an issue / problem happens on one of the servers durring the assigned maintenance period, it triggers pagerduty and that's waking me up in the middle of the night. I do want to be alerted if these issues happen durring normal business hours, but in the middle of the night, I don't care because sometime it's actual maintenance happening and I don't need to be woken up by standard know issues. Other monitoring application have maintenance windows and they supress all alerts durring this the assigned time period, i'm just not sure why Zabbix is not supressing these alerts.
