Template Discovery Question
I am new to Zabbix. I have been using templates and found out about Discovery. I have multiple switches (24-48 ports) but I only use about 5-10 ports on each one.
In Templates > Discovery rules, I have Item prototypes to discover status, inOctet, and outOctet of each ports. My host now has more than 200 items. I was trying to modify the host because I don't need all that items, deleting ports and graphs that the discovery generated, but it just comes back because of Discovery.
So I was wondering if I disabled the discovery rule, will my items (the ones that I want to monitor) go away after the History Storage Period/Trend Storage Periods passes since it's still discovery?
