Cannot connect agents (ZBX grey)

I have set up a Zabbix server and an agent on test web server. Both are running Centos 7. After solving problems with SELinux both the server and agent start. I have added monitored server to hosts under Configuration hosts.

The host is enabled, however ZBX is grey under availabiliy. If I shutdown the monitored server I don't see any errors or warnings in Zabbix server. I also tried adding agent and configuring it with Ubunut server with same result.

After you've applied your templates to the host (multiple add buttons are confusing!), make sure the zabbix-agent is started (systemctl start zabbix-agent) it seems to not always startup after a new install or reboot. If this works, make sure to run systemctl enable zabbix-agent to make sure it's setup to auto-start.

If that doesn't work, for testing purposes, just turn off the firewall on both sides to see if it connects. If it does work then you can look at your port exceptions.

If it doesn't work see if you get an error when you mouse over the zbx icon. That should give you an indication of what's going on.

I've made progress, I applied zabbix agent template and I connected using no encryption, so now I see ZBX green and when I shutdown monitored host, I get alert.
