We are in the process of Zabbix 3.2 version installation, server is up but getting the above message even after enabling the above details internally in server level.
Please let us know the fix???
This is way off topic for this post? If you read the FAQ for this forum, you'll see new posts need to be approved. That is what needs to be done to start your own thread, don't add new topics to an existing thread.

Your issue looks to be an incorrect setup though, you're missing your database, or point to where it is, some prerequisites are missing, etc. You may want to find a guide for installing 3.2 so you catch all these things.

So I re-installed the agent using 3.2.0 agent (had 3.2.6 before) and still have the same issue. I turned debugging on the agent up to 5 (full logging) and everything succeeds except one thing, no matter the agent version. Any idea if the line with fail below is related? Any way to find out why it's failing? As a note I changed my servernames in the text below. I made it zabbixserver is the zabbix server, MyServer.foo.com is the Windows server I'm monitoring.

Ok, I figured out the issue, kind of. So it appears the server had an older version of Zabbix installed and then upgraded before I got my hands on it and something didn't upgrade properly within it. I exported my custom templates and hosts, then installed on a new system. Now everything works. Something from the old install of Zabbix must have been left behind.

After upgrading our zabbix 3.2 server to 3.4.1, we now see minions unable to connect with the error:
              Code:
cannot parse list of active checks: Can't find pair with name "regexp"
Does anyone have a recommendation, or anything we can do to troubleshoot?

I'd suggest trying a new post for the most help you could possibly get (since this is 3.2 vs 3.4 that you have) by going here and posting a new topic. That said, it seems that error is unrelated to not connecting from what I ran into. Usually if I get an agent that can't connect it's usually due to one of two things:
                1. a port or firewall blocked that is needed - This is less likely since everything worked before
                2. Agents don't know how to talk to that version or server - Make sure you've setup your zabbix hosts in the agent config file and make sure you updated the agents to 3.4 as well.

I wish you luck, and I'll look for your other post to help there.

Thanks anewark. Posted it here because this thread was the only reference to the that error message. Relately, I got my issue resolved! In my case, the proxy was still running the zabbix-proxy process, but the proxy crashed due to needing a higher CACHESIZE. Fixed that, and back in action. Thanks!

                    Finally! Thanks for sharing, mate.
I've put in a lot of hours trying to bypass the old version.
