Geo Map access via HTTP proxy

Version 7.4.7
Would like to setup GEO maps to an external tile provider but must access via an http proxy (squid), is there an easy way to have zabbix forward the requests to the proxy? Have tried just inserting the proxy string in front of tile provider url and that did not do the trick.

IIRC, geomap data is used only in your own browser... backend does not pull anything directly from there..
