Hi team,
I know this has been beaten to death with the ugly stick. But honestly I have read 124125 posts and they are all saying the same thing, hostname hostname hostname. But I'm stuck. (Note: I have removed FQDN to hide business name, but they have been triple checked)
I have many successful connections, but I'm stuck on two stupid windows machines (Server 2016)
Zabbix Server (mon01)
Zabbix Proxy (mon03)
2x VMs
Now, to clarify connectivity concerns:
[root@mon01 bin]# telnet mon03 10051
Trying 10.11.61.182...
Connected to mon03.
[root@mon03 bin]# telnet mon01 10051
Trying 10.11.61.181...
Connected to mon01
[root@mon03 bin]# telnet 10.81.20.21 10050
Trying 10.81.20.21...
Connected to 10.81.20.21.
Windows: Successful connection to mon03 on 10051
From the proxy I can obtain agent details of windows host:
[root@mon03 bin]# zabbix_get -s 10.81.20.21 -p10050 -k"agent.version"
3.2.0
Zabbix front end in fact autodiscovers the host and puts in group 'Discovered Hosts', confirming that there is connectivity, again, how can the hostname be wrong it if it automatically discovered through the proxy.
I feel I have tried everything ever posted regarding this, but still I'm having no luck. Note that 10050 and 10051 are open, but nothing more, is there another port I haven't thought of? Everything is set to defaults. The fact that the zabbix server actually picks up the agent, through the proxy indicates to me that there is no connectivity issue.
Your assistance would be highly appreciated as I have spent over 5 hours troubleshooting this and now desperate for help.
