    Zabbix Actions and Maintenance

    Hello,

I have set up a maintenance period with data collection on overnight. Sometimes triggers go off during this maintenance period, and actions are silenced like expected. However, when this maintenance period ends and the triggers are still active, I would like my email actions to fire off. Right now, they do not.

Is there any way to change this behavior in Zabbix?
    Thanks.

Trying to understand what is written here: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...al/maintenance

During a maintenance “with data collection” triggers are processed as usual and events are created when required. However, problem escalations are paused for hosts in maintenance, if the Pause operations while in maintenance option is checked in action configuration. In this case, escalation steps that may include sending notifications or remote commands will be ignored for as long as the maintenance period lasts.

For example, if escalation steps are scheduled at 0, 30 and 60 minutes after a problem start, and there is a half-hour long maintenance lasting from 10 minutes to 40 minutes after a real problem arises, steps two and three will be executed a half-hour later, or at 60 minutes and 90 minutes (providing the problem still exists). Similarly, if a problem arises during the maintenance, the escalation will start after the maintenance.
    An example:
Lets say I have maintenance from 1am-7am. I have a trigger with 2 steps, 10 minutes inbetween each to send an email alert.
At 2am, my trigger criteria is met. It does not send an email, since the device is in maintenance.
At 7am, the maintenance window ends, and my trigger is still in the problem state. This means that at 7:10am, I should get the escalation email.

But this is NOT how it works on my Zabbix installation. I cannot get it to escalate after a maintenance window has ended. Am I understanding this incorrectly, or is there something else I need to do?
