    proxy zabbix for windows

    "Hello,

I am interested in Zabbix to monitor Windows servers along with Windows virtual machines. I was thinking of setting up the physical Windows server with a VPN and a Zabbix proxy that would collect data from the Zabbix agents on the virtual machines. However, the Zabbix proxy is not available for Windows. Am I forced to use a Linux virtual machine to run the Zabbix proxy?"

ok, i have test the proxy installatoin on almalinux vm and it s more simple to mange the backup for me, I wish the vm won't be too demanding.

Yes. Since the Zabbix proxy is not supported on Windows, you'll need to run it on a supported operating system, typically a small Linux VM or container. If your Windows hosts can reliably connect to the Zabbix server over the VPN, you can also skip the proxy and have the agents report directly to the server.
