Cannot respond to private messages

I joined the forum last month and got a private message. I don't see the "Send a Private Message" button/link that is referred to in the FAQ. How do I send a private message or reply to a private message?

can you show a screenshot of the menu you get when clicking on a username ?
that should have an option to send a private message.

also, when viewing a private message, there should be a "reply" button - don't you have that ?

Hi richlv,

I tried to do a screen capture and save it as a PNG file. I get an error saying that I am only allowed 800 x 600 dimensions on this type of file, so I cannot attach my screenshots. In answer to your question, there is no reply button and there is no option to send private message when I click my username. If you have a different email I can send to, I can forward the screenshots.
