Creating links on a Map

When selecting two items on a Map, the Mass Update window opens, and I can't choose the Add link. How do I add a link, then?

Ignore the popup for a sec and just click "Add" next to "Link"

I got it. It has to be two ELEMENTS, not just shapes. I was doing a quick test map and thought I could just make two rectangle shapes.
