Widget for rectangular array of status indicators?

I'm trying to create a simple status display for port status on a 26 port Cisco switch.
I tried Honeycomb, which was reasonable, but provided no means of customizing the labels.
Each port has a string like "Interface gi1(Router - ER-X eth1)"
I can find no means to use a regex or other method to trim them.
So the set of hexagons in the honeycomb all say the same thing - "Interface..." which is not useful.
I can size the widget to make the hexagons huge, but that wastes most of the screen space with empty hexagons.


I tried top hosts, but as I add ports, it can only add columns which again causes truncation with multiple ports.

Item Value is possible, but requires creating 26 widgets, one per port, and manually managing them on the dashboard.

Am I missing something? Is there any widget like Honeycomb, but supporting wide rectangular objects instead of hexagons?

You can modify displayed values.
Under Advanced config you have options to define labels. For example, you can choose to display "text" and then you can define label as "{{ITEM.NAME}.regsub("<your regex>",\1)}" where you extract required values from item name into capture groups and then display their values (\1, \2, etc)
