Not getting any notifications when a trigger is disabled during escallation.

    The documentation says this: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...on/escalations

During an escalation in progress (like a message being sent), based on any type of event:
    Based on trigger event:
    - the trigger is disabled
    - the host or item is disabled
Based on internal event about triggers:
    - the trigger is disabled
Based on internal event about items/low-level discovery rules:
    - the item is disabled
    - the host is disabled
Note that the Escalation canceled message is also sent if operations are finished, but recovery operations are configured and are not executed yet.
I've got a trigger action that sends problem and recovery events on a test host, but not when a trigger is disabled.

The built in email media type has templates for everything - updates, even service events. I send notifications (trigger action) on all possible events:

k so what's wrong? Why am I not getting those "cancelled" emails? Please note that the documentation says:

Note that the Escalation canceled message is also sent if operations are finished, but recovery operations are configured and are not executed yet.

In the action, open the Operations tab and make sure “Notify about canceled escalations” is ticked. It’s on by default, but it’s a per-action setting, and if it got unticked at some point you’d see exactly this: problem and recovery mails arrive fine, nothing when the trigger is disabled.

      So here was the problem:
The "Default operation step duration" determines when such a cancellation message will be sent. It came like an hour later.

Undocumented behavior - or extremely poorly documented if implicit somewhere.
