Check email configuration

Hello,

I have configured the email notifications and a media type - email (I use Office 365 SMTP services)
I'm not sure that I did it correct. Where can I find authentication logs of zabbix email client? It would be good to have button "check" in the configuration page.

Hi Exonix,

Use trapper item to simulate the trigger and attach it to some action - everything you will see in Action log or in zabbix server log :

/var/log/zabbix/zabbix_server.log

I have found the following log:

 11455:20171013:155334.314 failed to send email: SSL connect error: error:140770FC:SSL routines:SSL23_GET_SERVER_HELLO:unknown protocol

After switching to STARTTLS:

671:20171016:155427.992 failed to send email: Login denied

I have found a related ticket, which was marked as solved for pre-3.4.2rc1 r72221. But i use 3.4.2 Revision 72885. It still doesn't work. Why? What can I do ?
