    Cisco ARP Cache

    Hello everybody,

I'm new to zabbix and my boss asked if there is an option to read out the ARP Cache of cisco routers to see what's directly connected?

    Kind regards

    Hello sno0ze,

Zabbix isn't a magic wand. Zabbix can receive ARP cache if you know the corresponding OID/MIB.

How to use Zabbix with SNMP: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...itemtypes/snmp

    How to configure host: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...fig/hosts/host

Brief googling just returned that you can't get full info, but if you have Cisco near you - you can check.

In other hand you can use SSH connection to get the desired info back. Just check: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation..._configuration

This isn't the best method, but at least if you can't do via Agent or SNMP, then you can Telnet/SSH to that host.

    Regards,
    Alex!
