Zabbix agent sending empty values of data

Hello All.
I'm having troubles trying to understand how to make zabbix server interprets empty values as nodata!! Or how to make zabbix agent not to send them when script described in conf file returns nothing.
Anyone?

Are you trying to use "nodata" trigger ?

nodata is used, when there is no data at all received form agent or sender, in your case there is response - just empty string

If use now the third option in combination with or nodata().

The third is “Regular expression V matching last value in period T, then N = 1, 0 – otherwise”. Put the following:

V: ^$
Last of (T): 1 [Count]
N: 1

I was hoping for a out of the box solution.

The item normally returns a valid json, i am gonna try to find a solution with just a nodata trigger and a preprocessing on the item
