make Discovery rules specific for fiber and coper connection on switch !

it's maybe possible to configured in "Configuration/Host" to configure the fiber or copper connection display?

If it's possible, where ? with which code ?

Sorry, how you want to achieve that? I mean - how you can identify the connection type?

P.S. - The Network Discovery can't discover the topology of the network.

You would need to find an OID that represents what type of connection a given interface is. EG on an SG500, I see ~130 parameters per interface, including ifType:

IF-MIB::ifIndex.50 = INTEGER: 50
IF-MIB::ifDescr.50 = STRING: gigabitethernet1/1/2
IF-MIB::ifType.50 = INTEGER: ethernetCsmacd(6)

Alas, copper or fibre, the ifType is the same because they're both Ethernet. I am sure I have seen more detail on interface types with SNMP but I can't remember what type of switch or more importantly, what OID it was.

I think IANA-MAU-MIB::dot3MauType is what you want, but none of the switches I have tried walking support that MIB so I can't say.

Found a phone system that supports ifJackType and it returns a value which is correct, so that's a start :-)
