    Monitor content changes

    Hi all.

    I really like what Zabbix has to offer and have been playing with an appliance install, but so far I am not finding the solution I have been looking for and maybe you guys can help. Basically, I want to monitor support tickets on external hosts at a singular location. I have 20+ hosts that run a customer support ticket system which also has an API available. I want to poll each host and display support ticket status data on a "Support Central" of sorts site. I see that the Web monitoring features, but is it possible to use that to transfer the support ticket data, analyze the ticket status/age/last response date/etc./ and display charts, etc. on the dashboard. I know it's maybe not what Zabbix was designed for - to monitor content changes rather than service status changes, but it seems very similar, i.e if the status of a ticket changes I want to know about it. What do you think?

    I would start with the API - the alternative would be screen-scraping which I imagine would be quite painful.
