How check multi-ip device?

Hi,
I have many firewall with 2 link to internet for load-balancing and failover. I have created on my Zabbix a host with 2 snmp interface and 2 ip of course. But the 'second' ip do not checked fram Zabbix.. I see this with tcpdump utility..

The workaround is crete 2 host.. but don't elegant manner to solve this..

Hello gbiondi,

Using two hosts for identical checks would be the best option for you.

However, if you will create two interfaces - You can specify the check on the Item level, but please note that the uniqueness criteria for the Items are item key.

Which kind of check do you utilize?

I check with snmp.. this is Sonicwall device.. but ask to me "what is it for" the 'second interface' if after set don't check it' - Or I go to wrong?

AAAaa... I can set a 'ping' on second interface and Snmp + ping on primary interface? If is possibile?

Just don't to have a mess :

1. Create Host Group like SonicWall
2. Create two hosts like SonicWall_EXT1 and EXT2
3. Create a Template with the checks you want to have and link it to those hosts.

This is a solution. You can try, but don't think that SNMP + Ping and just Ping will provide the info you want. I would go with creating two different hosts.
