Linking SNMP Agent & SNMP Tracker Items

    Hello,

In our setup, we have some Cisco equipment which we would like to poll on an interval, for which I have configured SNMPv2 Agent items. However, we are also required to receive SNMP traps to update the same data.

The end goal would be to have a trigger fire on problem condition, but it needs to clear properly. The problem I see with tying both an SNMPv2 Agent item and an SNMP Trap item to the same trigger (Agent item == problem OR Trap item == problem), is that when the problem trap is received, the trigger gets set to "Problem" state. This presumably will not clear even at the next SNMPv2 Agent poll interval, since the SNMP trap item will still have it's last value reflecting a problem state.

Thus, my question: What would be the best way to link these items, so that the trigger fires when there's a problem state detected, and then clears when the SNMPv2 Agent polls and finds an "OK" value?

    Thanks in advance!

    Edit:
    Using Zabbix 3.2

Take a look at Recovery Expressions: https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...ion#hysteresis
