I get that in my agentd.log file. I am trying to connect from the server, i.e. 192.168.3.23 to the agentd, i.e. 192.168.3.50 and I get:
Connection from [192.168.3.23] rejected. Allowed server is [192.16.3.23]
This is from my agentd.log file. My agentd.conf file has 192.168.3.23 as the server. And above all the error message doesn't make sense!
I cannot telnet or use zabbix_get.

Why am I getting 192.168.3.23 != 192.168.3.23 ?

What is your version of ZABBIX?

I have it running on a test system just fine. I guess the only difference is that I have a couple of network interfaces on the server. I was thinking that the server might have bound with just one interface... But that was not the case.

Well overlooked the typo.
The ip address was not correct i was missing an 8 in 168! it was set as 16! when I started to cut and paste it into the forum I noticed it! I guess forum does work
