    Zabbix deployment on Containers

    Hello,

I am writing to request for sharing your experiences on deploying Zabbix service on containers.

We have experience on running Zabbix service on bare metal servers and now looking to move to containerized deployment.

What are the pros and cons for deploying Zabbix on containers rather on bare metal servers? Any recommendations?

    Thanks in advance.

    Pros:
    - easy cluster formation, HA, horizontal scalability
    - resource limitations, better for load scheduling and distribution
    - easy deployment (rolling upgrades)

    Cons:
    - required additional knowledge of used technologies (cgroups, networking, orchestration)

If you have proper container setup (orchestration, automation, CI, CD, ...) then Zabbix can be just another (boring) service in your cluster.
