periodic trigger checks. Something like cron.

Hi, I'm new to the forums and zabbix (want to go to the zabbix training January 2018), so please forgive me if I ask obvious stuff.
I'm using Zabbix appliance version 3.4.3.
I want to perform trigger check based on specific time. Something like cronjob.
I need to check agent active generated logs regardless if it was generated or not therefore I can't hook my trigger to the item.
In other words to make sure it's clear what I need:
I want to run a trigger check every morning to check if there is certain entry in event log (which I collect from active agent item (this itself works fine)) the day before. If the entry is there, nothing happens. If it's not there - trigger goes off.

Do you guys think this is possible? I've been searching the zabbix GUI and googled it for quite a time but nothing plausible came up.

    Thanks for your help.

If you want to check at a specific time, there is a function called custom interval.

Thank you. This seems to be what I'm looking for. I found myself fixed at trigger research, I guess that's why missed item options.
      Thank you again.
