    Simple check - net.tcp.service - icmpping - fping

    Dear,

I have problems in the ZABBIX 1.1.4 log, When I configure one triggers in Simple Test and configure icmpping I have the following error in log:

Simple check [net.tcp.service[icmpping[1],192.168.0.3]] is not supported

I installed fping in the following way:

    #yum install fping
    #chown root:zabbix /usr/sbin/fping
    #chmod 710 /usr/sbin/fping
    #chmod ug+s /usr/sbin/fping

in the /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf archive I took away mark the option:
    FpingLocation=/usr/sbin/fping

e exactly thus I continue having errors, somebody can help me?

    Thanks
    Willian

    Hi

Do you restart agent after fping install ?
Can you try to manually run fping under the zabbix user?

      Hi!

      yes, I made these configurations…
      look:

      [root@frodo zabbix-1.1.5]# service zabbix_agentd restart
      Parando o zabbix_agentd: [ OK ]
      Iniciando zabbix_agentd: [ OK ]

      [zabbix@frodo ~]$ fping -v
      fping: Version 2.4b2_to $Date: 2002/01/16 00:33:42 $
      fping: comments to [email protected]
      [zabbix@frodo ~]$

      Look the log again:
Simple check [net.tcp.service[icmpping[1],192.168.0.3]] is not supported

      Thanks

        Hi

Please try to remove "[1]" after icmpping.

        net.tcp.service[icmpping[1],192.168.0.3]

Does your item configured with the "[1]" ?

yes! now it functioned I do not have more the errors in log! I remove in name [1]

More not yet I have acknowledgments of host unreacheable: (I am testing in a computer that this with the detached handle and exactly thus the ZABBIX does not inform the error to me, I created to trigger thus:

          {TesteSimples_t:icmpping.last(0)}=1

          is correctly ?

          Thanks

          Willian

            icmpping have 2 values

0 - indicates that host is unreachable
1 - indicates that host is reachable

In this case it is suitable to use {TesteSimples_t:icmpping.last(0)}=0 check to see reachable status with green color and and see unreachable status with red color in Monitoring -> Overview page.

                Dear Willian

I don't use maps and may be i am not correct.
You have to try booth comparison with 0 and with 1.

                Regards
